 Explanatory notes

Accommodation in Pietermaritzburg (Ascot Inn, or Golden Horse Casino) can be booked via Sure Travel Studio. If you prefer B & B accommodation, contact Brenda Nuss.

If you do not have your own transport while in Pietermaritzburg, we suggest you stay at a B & B in Hilton – a fifteen minutes drive north of Pietermaritzburg.  Visitors staying in Hilton will be assisted with transport if necessary to and from the show venue and town drop-offs.  The available options are all within walking distance from the home of Brenda and Etzel Nuss.

Follow this link to read more about B & B accommodation in Hilton

Because of the Hilton Drama and Art Festival taking place the same weekend as the KZN Clivia Club Show, accommodation in and around Pietermaritzburg is going to be a problem.  Visitors are urged to please make reservations as soon as possible.

2    Delegates should be aware that the Durban International Airport is quite far south of Durban. There are no hotels in the vicinity. It is our opinion that you would be better off leaving Pietermaritzburg and going direct to the airport, a drive of approx 1 ¼ hour, rather than overnighting in Durban and then trying to get to the airport. Easy directions from Pietermaritzburg will be supplied. Note that Sure Travel Studio has made a block booking for the evenings of 19 and 20 September at the Beethoven Lodge. The lodge is in Amanzimtoti – eight kilometers from Durban airport.
